Emma Hines, MA

Communications Manager

Emma Hines is a Communications Manager at PSE Healthy Energy, where she supports strategic communications to elevate the organization’s science-based work at the intersection of climate, energy, public health, and equity. She brings nearly a decade of experience translating complex scientific research into accessible, actionable insights for diverse audiences.

Before joining PSE, Emma spent just under five years as a Senior Associate at RMI (formerly Rocky Mountain Institute), where she helped bring national attention to the public health and air quality benefits of transitioning buildings off fossil fuels. Her work blended research, partner engagement, and communications to support cleaner, healthier buildings. Emma also previously completed a two-year fellowship with the Climate and Health Program at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and served as a member of the teaching faculty for the Climate Change and Health Online Certificate Program with the Yale School of Public Health.

She holds a master’s degree in Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she specialized in climate and health.
