Jia Jiang joined PSE in 2026 as an Air Quality Scientist. Her work focuses on connecting emissions observations with air quality modeling to assess community health risks. She brings experience in atmospheric modeling, chemical mechanisms, and data workflow development. Before PSE, Jia was a postdoctoral researcher at MIT and UC Davis, where she led model development and application projects, with a focus on wildfire smoke exposure and methane mitigation programs.
Jia holds a PhD in Chemical and Environmental Engineering from UC Riverside, where her research focused on atmospheric chemistry and secondary organic aerosol formation. She also holds a master’s degree in Geological Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science, both from Zhejiang University.
