The ROGER Citation Database

Category: Data Tools

PSE’s ever-growing resource

Sharing reliable scientific information related to energy production and use is core to PSE’s mission. Our database of peer-reviewed literature – formerly known as the PSE Database on Shale & Tight Gas Research – is one of our organization’s original projects and continues to expand as more studies are published. The Repository for Oil and Gas Energy Research, or ROGER, is a near-exhaustive collection of bibliographic information, abstracts, and links to many of journal articles that pertain to shale and tight gas development. Literature is organized into 12 different categories, including air quality, water quality, climate, public health, and regulations. The goal of this project is to create a single repository for unconventional oil and gas-related research as a resource for academic, scientific, and citizen researchers. PSE Healthy Energy does not necessarily support or endorse the methods and the findings of the studies included in this database.

Using ROGER

Once you access ROGER, you can sort, search, and select from the database. We recommend sorting the list by author name. This can be done by clicking the “creator” heading on the right side of the screen. Library settings can also be changed by clicking the button above “date modified” (here we recommend including “year” in the library view). Additionally, the Zotero library search bar (top right) is a useful tool to search journal articles by topic, author, or title. For questions, problems, and suggestions please email info@psehealthyenergy.org.
